Edit: Conclusion at bottom.
I know i've made countless threads on this topic, but i finally got my deck to turn on, though for some reason has no anti-theft light on either of my tape decks. I don't understand how this system works, the previous owner cut the wires from the factory fader to wire a CD player, he wired one to positive and one to negative on the CD player then ran their own wiring for the front speakers. I took out the front and rear speakers and put back what i think is the factory wiring to them, didn't mess with the rears, wired it up with the colors matching the speaker wires from a tail i picked up (only have one of two) and nothing. This is a late model tape player going in to an early model system, i don't know if that matters, since there's now no fader, i don't see a reason for it to not.
How do these speakers get ground? There's one wire to each, but each has two in it.
I hope someone can help. :|
Edit: The factory amp was removed...
Conclusion: The factory amp was bypassed really cleanly and i looked over it, but he took the factory wires and looped them in to the outputs from the amp, pretty good idea IMO.
I don't see why everyone bashes the factory stereo system, it sounds pretty decent IMO.
