Just wondering since I recently pulled a cardinal red interior out of a 87 325i sedan that was being parted. I also snagged the rear parcel shelf with premium speakers and the door tweeter pods. I pulled off the plate on my 91 E30 318i sedan and I didn't see any speaker wires for them. Do I have to go fishing for them in the door wiring or was the 318i not wired for tweeter pods? I'm thinking the latter since the 318i was the cheapest BMW available in 91, it came standard with steel wheels and plastic hubcaps, manual sunroof, no overhead check panel, etc...

Are all E30 prewired for door tweeter pods?

Well there was no premium sound in 84-85 so those cars weren't . As for the bare bones 91 318...I am not sure. Pull the door panel and see if the wiring is taped back. It will be right there on the door if it is.
"I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
