    Replacement Top Options

We've had a few threads about this that have petered out.

Has anyone found a replacement top option with a zip in back window?

IIRC all the current offerings have sewn in windows.

Assuming no zip in option, any opinions on the best of what is out there?

I've got my car scheduled into the upholstery shop in about a month. Need to get a top ordered.

I have not found one. I actually spent big $$$ on an OEM top a couple of years ago.. no zip out window.

@jeffnhiscars found a source for the actual window though. I suppose you could take an aftermarket top and add the needed zipper.. I do have a brand new aftermarket German cloth top available if anyone is interested.

Saw your debacle with the OEM top.

I'm curious if there is any difference between the $275 am tops and the $750 ones?

Seems there is often one supplier churning out parts that got put into different boxes with much different prices.

Sent you a PM about the top.

          Hey Poorhouse,
I’d strongly suggest replacing your tensioner straps when doing new top.
Seems to keep the fit/finish nice and tight. Going back and doing it afterwards is a costly pain.
Well worth the extra couple hundred bucks.

          Good Luck!
