    Exhaust enthusiasts!! Need help

So I want my exhaust to sound like this:

    (at 11:11)

I've asked the owner many times where to get the exhaust but he doesnt answer. I know I need this muffler: http://www.verociousmotorsports.com/...er-In-Out-1147

But what part do I get for behind the muffler until the cat (where the tube gets bigger towards the front i'm not sure of the names). my piping cracked right before the muffler so I need to replace from the "cat?" to the muffler.. I love the sound of his car so please help me out guys. Thanks!

a good m42 exhaust is: stock headers, 2.5" all the way back, cat of your choice, some sort of resonater or center muffler, and alot of people like the dynomax super turbo.

don't mean to steal the thread, but what would be a good exhaust setup for an m20? I'm looking for the same sound. also, as an e30 owner, i'm poor as fuck so keep that in mind please.

Looks like a flowmaster or magnaflow. If you want throaty than buy a baffled muffler. Like a spin tech from Dr Gas http://www.youtube.com/user/DrGasExh.../5/y-5SPKVkiik this muffler was throaty enough to set off car alarms

cheap and good doesnt work to often. As mentioned above but for an M20 2.5 single all the way back and a baffled muffler

I hate the sound of the one in the vid, sorry :(. I'm looking for close to no rasp. I don't want it to be too loud as to set off car alarms or wake up my whole street when I come back home from a party. My car is a daily driver so.. Keep that in mind. I just need to know what to replace surrounded in red in this pic:

I think this is an m20 car but you get the idea.. My exhaust cracked right before the muffler so I dont really need to replace the whole thing. Will changing this part to whatever pipe plus the vibrant muffler give me the sound in the video?

                  Thanks

                      Sent you a PM.

It was a single pipe cut before the resonator, a new cheapo resonator installed and piping to the muffler. Nothing extravagant.

Thanks for the quick replies! What size piping was it do you remember? And was it loud? Can't really tell from the video cuz I can make it louder or quieter with my headphones.. :P

PS: I thought the muffler was the same thing as a resonator, so what do you mean pipe cut before the resonator?

Did you get the muffler and resonator? I absolutely love the way this sounds in the video and am considering it for my M20. Is this the performance or sleeper?

Yeah I got everything installed! I have a friend that has this on an m20 engine and he loves it, says he can't stop smiling in a tunnel. Haven't heard it in person though. I think for the m42 it's pretty much as good as it's gonna sound from a 4 cylinder. I'm very happy with it :P and all my friends like it so good purchase :)
