I'd run the m21 manifold and turbo. Its designed for a 2.4 liter motor that revs to what your planning on. I hit 14psi of boost at 2k rpm in the upper gears and it holds till redline so 8-10psi with a 2.5L motor should be a walk in the park. Plus i have it on good authority monkey has 1 or 2 or 5.

Then screw the cx manifold and do eather the a high end cost tdc, or on the low end cost m21/524td manifold...

    What turbo?

    Rev range?
I'm building my e30 for autrocross racing and playing around on the city streets.
    I have a T3/T4 turbo. I plan on having between 200 and 250hp with a 5500-6000 rev limit.

I'm gonna use MegaSquirt for the tuner.

I'm just not a fan of the CX manifolds...

I have a TCD and my buddy just turbo'd his car with the cx manifold. Considering my T4 is larger then his t3/t4 its only a difference of a couple hundred RPM.

You can probably still keep AC with a top mount.

just requires extra work, might need a pump for the oil return line, have to modify the motor mount, just more difficult but is very possible

Is it a pain in the ass to use the bottom mount?

To make your life harder. Lol. But it does look good once its in there. Check out my build thread for more info. I used a bottom mount out of stubborness. Next build will be from schedule 10 mandrell bent stainless tubing. Probably bottom mount as well.

If M20, I'd likely go with a TCD (www.turbochargingdynamics) bottom mount. Which is what I am going with on my next build.
Any reason in prticular you'd go tcd bottom mount?
