M42 Turbo No start

my buddy has a m42 turbo and he is running 36 pound injectors on stock DME with no chip, no 02 sensor, just running in limp mode & it runs fine pushing 8-10 pounds daily. Just highly adjusted mass air flow meter and he gets shit for gas mileage, but it still runs fine & hard. Why won't mine even start? I figure the difference between 36pound & 42 pound wouldn't make it not start.

What you have to do is do the usual checks. Does it have fuel or spark. Does it turn over.

only need air fuel and spark do you have each of them?

Doesn't that only apply for the m20. M30 and m50 allow larger injectors than 30lb with stock dme

Well his car has an M42 and he specifically said he has not put the chip in yet.

Definitely not going to start with those injectors in there!

As far as I know Motronic doesn't like anything over 30lbs injectors. If somebody who knows for sure could clear this up that'd be good. I've never looked into it personally, my turbo build has always been intended for standalone.

Just turbod my 1991 318iS. I havent put in the miller chip yet but figured it would start with a stock chip. I have 42lbs EV6 ford bosch injectors. what the sheit!?
