In the 170 hp M10 that i was talking about, it has a STOCK (rebuilt) 2002 bottom end, and a polished E30 318i head, custom exhaust header and a Schrick 304 cam using an EFI Technologys Euro 1 ecu....it never got fully tuned (its just sitting on a stand at our shop) but it could probably make 180-190 hp.

I am not a n00bie when it comes to cars/engines/tech stuff, i have been around porsche performance stuff my whole life

edit: I could probably sell TWO people pistons that work absolutely perfectly with the S14 crank/rods setup, and you end up with 8.5:1 compression....or was it 7.5:1, but its perfect for turboing

Can you get some pics of this na 170hp m10 with a stock block ? Head/ exhaust work if possible ?

I am not a fan of turbos on most bmw engines but i would turbo the shit out of an m10 or m30, for some reason they just scream blow me. hehehehe. I really want my next project to be an early white or brown 318 and turbo it. I hope this helps...not really, i wasn’t trying to help i was just typing shit.

It was not, 2 blocks cracked now.

Next engine will use similar bore that Mr Deagle has and I will use antique block, which weights ~10-15kg's more that 318i block.

If I was not on limited budget, id use s14 block, and venolia pistons.
    S14 block with m10 head?

That's the route I am going with, but I am not going to just put a turbo on the motor until I get everything that needs to be fixed/upgraded done etc..

What options for a crank/rods/pistons do I have other than s14 ? Good but not the best/most expensive stuff out there ...

Wouldn't it make the block/head more prone to cracking with 2.3 crank or was it with the bigger pistons ?
