    piston ring orientation for install

I'm just about ready to install pistons in a freshly rebuilt motor. I was reading through my Bentley manual about installing the pistons and noticed that all it said about installing the rings was that they should be 120 degrees apart. That makes sense, but something I'm hoping to clarify before I get the ring compressor out is the orientation of the oil ring gaps. As I understand it, the top oil ring gap should be 180 degrees from the bottom oil ring gap. This would wind up with rings looking like the below illustration as they go in. Top is top ring gap, middle is middle ring gap and so on.

    Is this correct?
