i added a tre 255 fuel pump today and now its not having the shift issure, so more pressure helped, but now it takes alot of cranking and pedal play to start? its driving me nuts

how do you have a turbo build and not know what a bov does or what a rrfpr is?

Not trying to be rude, but i would think research would be the first thing to do on a build

5 pounds off boost shouldn't be a bov problem, really? It could be a fuel problem, take out a spark plug and see if ur running lean.

When you execute a shift the engine has to drop from high rpm to a lower rpm. The turbo will be spooled up from high rpm running and will be delivering more air than the engine can use when it drops to lower rpm. The blow off valve should should relieve that excess pressure. If it doesn't, the engine will momentarily be running too lean.
