I bought a rebuilt alternator over the summer, and noticed I had to pretty much fully max out the tensioner to get the belt tight. now its been raining and the belt is slipping BAD. I got new belts (the alt/WP belt is a Gates XL 7380) and Im still having the same problem, the tensioner is maxed out and the belt isnt tight.
Do I have the wrong size belt, Or did the alternator shop sell me an alternator with the wrong size pulley on it?
If anybody has an extra alternator lying around, could they measure the pulley diameter?
