Haven't pulled the head yet to see for sure.
I did. With the help of a friend who has built countless motors for SpecE30 cars. Never before used Metric Blues and never seen this issue. Has a Goetze HG.
Fucking better not be.
Has less than 1,500 miles on a complete rebuild so... yeah lol. This blows.

No. VR head bolts are good. Try to avoid using a victor reinz gasket tho. Use a Goetz or Elring.
Sorry to hear this OP. The metric blues are deff the cause of the failure?
Also you should be using BMW blue coolant. Not that green shit.Leave a comment:

Yeah. ARP studs and a mild cam for now. This will also give me time to take care of some rust spots and do my subframe/trailing arm bushings and other bits.
You're pissed off? This is what my $2,500 got me.
I have shit luck. I should have never run Metric Blues. I feel fucking retarded for trusting them.Leave a comment:

Kind of pissed me off looking at this.
I got coolant in my oil from a hg going bad, granted my motor was very old, it is still a bitch to clean.
