If you need anything 3D printed shoot me a PM, I've got a Makerbot Replicator 2 that should do alright, and in a few months I'll have an SLA 3D printer. Also have a 50w laser cutter, and a small CNC router, if you need wooden templates for anything.

I'll DEFINITELY take you up on that. Need to print a prototype case for the DasBeast Temp Gauge (see this thread).

Last bits of Massive Lee's kit arrived. These are hats for 1.25" x 11.75" rotors.

            Das Beast Solid Steering Linkage

Good idea for solid steering linkage. HOWEVER, R3v user feedback and some research revealed that U-joints need to be in phase. Otherwise steering might slightly bind.

Notice U-joints are not in phase.

Ugly rubber E30 OEM linkage. U-joints in phase

New part in design. See For Sale thread.

After some research, here is a small education on kill switches.

My single pole setup would have potentially fried things when the ignition was cut, but alternator still being driven as the engine runs down. When opened, this six pole switch cuts power on the main battery cable and engine harness relays. At the same time, it connects a bleed resistor from the alternator to ground. Resistor provides a load dump while the alternator spins down.

That linkage looks killer and for a good price. I'll keep that in mind. E30 shopping at the moment you being local elbow as well.

Suspension removal progressing well. Everything is coming off. Will be pulling both sub-frames and adding reinforcement tabs.

Chassis is so stiff with the cage that it was completely flat on 3 jack stands. Paint job is really starting to grow on me. It's nice.

+1 for ECS Tuning. Control arms and tie rods arrived within a day, no extra charge for Saturday delivery.

Skinny 12mm rear sway bar removed

Front subframe out. Will be reinforcing around motor mounts.

                                More suspension removal

Rob is still getting Medieval on the rear suspension. Everything is out except the subframe and that will be gone soon.

Rear wheel hub getting taken apart

Parking brakes look Ok. Not a lot of wear on pads.

Will probably replace the CV boots and repack wheel bearings .. while we're there

                                Looking pretty empty under there
