Car will start after sitting for a day or so. Hesitant but runs. Can give it gas and runs. I can drive it but then car wants to die after I come to a complete stop. After it dies it takes 15-20 seconds to crank over and sputters when doing so. Idles 2k rpm after then runs rough and wants to die. Has to be given gas to keep running.
Motor is M20B25
Prior to this condition I have I replaced the following:
timing belt (Picture after I installed new belt and checked timing, was told the timing was okay, both cam and crank are aligned)
water pump
tensioner
engine harness
exhaust headers and gaskets
intake gaskets
thermostat housing gasket and thermostat
blue coolant temp sensor
spark plugs
cap and rotor
valve cover gasket
throttle body gasket
I did have a cold relay that was on the car that I removed. I was told that only B27s had these installed.
I did not replace plug wires, oxygen sensor is disconnected, which is okay from what I was told because I need to run a longer harness for the sensor to do new headers. I have eliminated the heater core and ran a hose directly from the block to the thermostat housing, capped of the rear pipe behind the head, and I have a the expansion tank ran directly to the thermostat. I also did not bleed the coolant properly and the lower coolant hose is feel cold to the touch, other hoses have heat releasing from them.
Basically the car will start when cold, will have a long crank in order to get started again after the cars been shut off.
My location is Milwaukee, WI if someone wouldn't mind taking a look at it and helping me diagnose it. Mainly looking for places to start testing.
