    M20 Refresh

    Hey guys,
I have a 325i, stock motor other than a turner chip for 91 octane. It feels strong, sometimes a few drivability issues like wandering idle and slight stutters. I recently bought this car so I've been meaning to sink some money into it and I believe a little love could go a long way. My question is basically where to put money for maximum effect.

First up: Pelican Parts maintenance packet, oil & fuel filter, valve cover gasket (Adjustment while im in there), spark plugs (ngk), distributor rotor & cap. Maybe mess with idle system if its gunked up.

Added fun: Miller PSIK, heard good things, seems like a good way to get some MAF gains and throttle response

Questions: I realize 19lbs injectors are overkill, but considering I can get 6 rebuilt 19lb injectors for $80, wouldn't this be a good maintenance item turned performance upgrade? When you purchase the PSIK you can specifiy which injectors you have, so the chip that comes with it would be 'customized' for the injectors.

Do you think the $$$ for the Miller PSIK is worth it when you can get most of the gains just by getting a chip for 91 octane? Its tempting to spend $700 and have a fresh motor with just about every maintenance item and the best value performance pieces done. Devils advocate could say I could just do the Pelican Parts refresh and have 90% of the benefits considering I have a chip for 91 octane already.

Another question: I'll call miller performance for this as well. There is an option for 'high flow exhaust' when you buy the PSIK, meaning a tune assuming you have one. Would you consider an IE catback be considered 'high flow' or do they mean headers and no cat or something. Im trying to get the right tune the first time so I don't have to buy the W.A.R. chip to accommodate additional changes.
