I need to pull the rear cam "plug" to get a look at the part numbers on the end of my aftermarket camshaft for a positive identification (not wanting to misrepresent what I'm trying to sell).
One manual discusses removal of a rear external plate... not present on my M20. It appears to be a simple "press fit" recessed metal disc. The Bentley manual doesn't (seem to) mention it at all, though I'd think you'd need to remove it prior to R&R the cam.
So how do I remove it without damaging anything? (Head is off the car and on my bench.)
