yea, but it will remind you not to rev it (eta tach will have a 4800rpm redline)

the code plug is just a little white chip that plugs into the gauge cluster...

    Hey guys,

I've been driving the car and it's running fantastic. No issues at all so far. But it just bugs me that I can't use the top half of the tachometer with this eta motor/ i wiring and electronics combo. And I'm always scared that whenever I feel like doing the "spirited-driving" I'll forget that I have be my own rev limiter....

Now someone here told me that I just can't go buy a eta ecu and plug it in there.... But would an eta chip just plug in the i ecu?? Would this limit the revs? will it even run?? Please help...

    Justin

    Your retarded! ^

The Eta motor has soft valve springs so don't rev it past 5k or valve float may occur and break the head/motor.

Also, to be sure its an i motor take of the valve cover and count your cam bearing, 7 for I motor and i think 4 for a Eta motor.

It just means it shouldn't be revved any higher, hence the safe redline, it's there for a reason.

haha, sort of. Kamotors already summed up what the "pedel dance" is

look for the CEL to flash in sequences, that will tell you the code

You have to decode the stomp test.

I believe pelican parts has the walkthrough of it.

    Hey-

Can you snap a couple pictures of the passenger side of the engine? Just want to see what valve cover it has.

    Update:

I replaced the manifold with the b25 with all the accessories attached. Thanks to the gentleman who advised me to do so, I now have smooth start up and idle in the mornings. Thanks!!! I do have the CEL light on though. I dunno why??
