Hei Everyone,
Got a weird hot start issue going on on my 325e. It starts great, runs great, holds idle, etc for an engine with 569K km on it. I track my mileage and fuel economy, and nothing unusual, based on my driving habits.
Sometimes at a stop, if sitting for awhile, the engine will just die - no weird noises or anything, the tach just drops to zero and dead. Sometimes if I get it cranking again quickly, it'll restart, other times it wont. If I give it a shot of ether in the intake (I use the hole where the vacuum line from the intake to the FPR runs), it'll restart right away, and everything runs normal.
So any thoughts on what's the issue here? I've read the troubleshooting in Bentley and some online... it just doesn't seem to fit anything usual, as I can get it restarted right away (with the ether), and I don't have any other running issues.
Thanks in advance for the help.
