FWIW the e28 air box fits but it's ugly as sin.

No, e32/e34 boot since the e32/e34 box needs a specific boot. What I had to modify/cut is the cover behind the headlight area. I'll take a picture today.

Pictures would definitely help, I'm guessing the E28 boot and the E34 boot are differtent? E28 seems a bit longer.

Had to modify it (cut a section out of it) and all is good now.
Jean, if you get the chance would it be possible for you to take photo's of said installation?

    Cheers.

But you get to keep your window washer tank! I'll need to check clearance on it once I get more than 2 hours of contiguous free time...

So does the e28 box not fit, or what?

I let mine sit there, it doesn't have very much room to move. I put my coil on the stick out thing on the strut tower that the overflow used to sit on.

So, do you guys with e32/e34 m30b35 boxes just let the box 'dangle' there? I just replaced the e30 ignition coil with the e32/e34 coil as it takes up less space. Tried fitting the airbox with a new elbow and I guess it fits, but it butts against the radiator. Do you guys secure it in place or just let it sit?

I cut some fins off the fender side of mine and it fit right in no problem.
