I've rode in my a friends fastback 240 with this motor and.....i swear it pulled as heard a m42 and he was driving the piss outta it. I was honestly like regardless a turbo 4banger in a e30 should be fun!!! nice swap.

The same reason most do, reduce vibration due to overly spongy trans and diff/rear suspension setups that were primarily designed for comfort?

Am I close? As far as letting you know when stuff starts breaking....well.... dont hold your breath. Alex from Dentsport Garage was running a 400+ hp engine on this setup with no breakage issues.

    Peace

The motor and trans mounts were made by Alex at DSG. Driveshaft is a custom one piece design

The rest is all yours truly.

    Take care,:)

Appreciate the positive comments! As for the sacriledge comment....well...covering my car with high buck no function euro crap is a sacrelidge. A high output all alloy turbo four really makes for a super light and balanced car. It only weighs 2270 with a half tank of gas AND me in it. Havent driven it yet but with proper tuning down the road it WILL make 300hp at the wheels, easy peasy.
I didnt post this to start a pissing match with m20/m30 guys. Those are both wicked motors in thier own right.
They just didnt fit the bill as far as weight and size goes, with this project.

    Peace!
