if youre gonna do a nissan swap, go for the gusto and do an rb26dett...
a friend of mine is in the process of doing one, he likes to enjoy his summers and do work on this thing once the snow starts flying.... here is his build thread on elisetalk

My sr20/e30 swap is almost done just gotta tidy up the hoses and run gauges.
Dont bother asking on this forum. High brow attitude rules supreme. If it doesnt have an S52 in it no one gives a shit.Leave a comment:

Check with Alex of DENT Sport Garage. He swapped an SR20DET into his E30 hill-climb/time-trials car. Lots of fabrication work, as you'd expect (the exhaust being on the wrong side doesn't help).

L series engine wouldn't be much improvement over an M20, would it?
EDIT: And they're non-crossflow?Leave a comment:

What about the RB series? RB20DET,RB25DET,RB26DETT Godzilla engine? they are some of the most popular and affordable performance engines around. Prob not availble in the states tho :( hehe good for usLeave a comment:

It would be an excellent project. There is tons of aftermarket support in terms of building the engine to be both powerful and reliable.
What do you want to do with the car?Leave a comment:

wiring isnt an issue, i am a madman for the most part when it comes to electrics..i mean..my friend has like 20 old nissan/datsun motors just laying around, and im tired of how slow my "eta" is so we might start a project..he has an L series and its a straight 6 and looks to be pretty damn close in comparsion with an m20.Leave a comment:

An SR20DET has already been physically swapped in, there is a thread somewhere on E30Tech about it. Can't seem to find it though. I can imagine wiring might be a problem though...Leave a comment:
