something in the fuel system seems to have a bug. probably a dying fuel pump.
When I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to it I was getting 45 PSI, I dont know how it is slipping under the radar.

the car pulls hard at WOT? only misfires at 2500-3000 rpms and it is occasional, and the method to the madness is usually at cruising or sometimes under load.

I have some 19lb 4 pintle injectors off of a saab or a mustang, I am pretty sure they are working... I took em out, while they were still connected, and they were spraying perty good, although i was cranking the car over and didnt get it started (obviously), so I dont know if the additional fuel would make a difference?

Obviously now it is a fuel Issue. spark plug makes it obvious, there is fuel gettin cut somewhere.

I had around 2 gallons in the tank, that was stored for around a month. then I put in 20 dollars worth 2 days ago, and have been going through that trouble shooting.

I just grounded the head with a cable to the chassis, Ill ground the head to the block with another ground cable.

Do you think I should throw in some seafoam in the oil or gas? or replace the injectors? I have another set of injectors.

The car doesnt drive at all ONLY idles when cold, and when warm it just misfires occasionally.

I have a spare coolant Temp sensor Ill throw in to see if that helps any. Whats teh sensor next to the Coolant temp sensor? isnt that just for the Gauge?

Is it possible that the COIl on Plugs coils are grounding out on the Plate itself? I did notice that Cyl #1 had weaker spark than the others, but IT was getting 12Vs and it wasnt the coils fault. I also checked out the resistances between the DME pinout and the Coil wire and it seemed to check out OKAY.

    WTF.

I want to quadruple check that I have TDC on the pistons and they are consistent with the camshafts. car idles smoothly, but I only checked TDC by putting in a screwdriver, and rotating until it was fully extended out and I marked the edge of teh screwdriver to ensure that the piston was at the top of it's stroke. sharpie FTW. I hae a JB racing flyhweel which I dont know if it has a pin to lock AT TDC. I wish I knew if it did that would chagne everything.

Mine totally used to do that too. I think its something about the DME getting hot after driving on the freeway for more than 30 minutes. I had the second 'chipped' DME in the glove box so I swap them and it would be fine for another 30-60 minutes until it got hot as well, then swap them again. Really F___ing frustrating until I figured out what was going on.
I'm sorry to hear about the the engine failure. I hope you get it back on the road. Thats a really nice slicktop.

I'll think about it or a 24v m50 or something. I'm getting more and more irritated with the m42, although I like the gas mileage. If I even get good gas mileage, my ODO is broken; I wouldnt know either way. The e30 is really taxing on me mentally.
