    m42 dyno data`

I finally have my dyno up and going and starting to get some good data out of it. Still dialing things in but I think the numbers below are close....

I will be dynoing a turbo m42 (one of my kits) next week. Looking forward to what it shows above the numbers below.

    Will be logging
    hp/tq
    rpm
    mph
    boost
afr (better than the numbers below) coming right off the mtx-l output
maybe afm and maf 0-5v outputs

My m42 powered 2002 on it.

    and some DATA
This is two graphs of the same car when the engine was just warming up and then fully warmed up.

Posted in the m42 turbo kit thread too

Did some pulls today...boost was a little higher than it should be so numbers are a little higher. BUT things are looking very good.

Boost is a little high on this one so it is a little leaner than I would like. Need to adjust the preload on the wastegate and/or richen the tune up a bit.

Same dyno and specs as this graph from a stock NA m42 with TMS chip

          Oh my!

Outside of the turbo components is that car running any other modifications like a light flywheel?

gaaah, thats like a 1hp per 10lbs ratio, which is about the equivalent of an e46 m3. What PSI is that at?

looks good Jake! I might be heading out to Michigan sometime in the near future to look at a car with my friend, I'll send you an e-mail I'd love to stop by the shop and see what you're working on if you have the time.

Varg, I want to guess your car is somewhere in the 250+ whp area..
