Hello. I just picked up another e30 from a friend and there's a couple of things I need to fix/replace and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (89 325i coupe)
1) The clutch is on its way out. Since I will be paying someone/shop to do the clutch install, I figure the best way to go is to get some sort of Clutch kit. I did some searches and the Clutch kit from Bavarian autosports popped up ($239). Then I found a Clutch kit from Bimmerworld for $199, but it does not come with a few parts such as some seals, pilot bearing, pivot pin, and some gaskets.
Any recommendations on the extra hardware or do most people only swap out the clutch disc, pressure plate, and throw out bearing?
2) The car came with the Rogue Engineering Octane SSK but it feels sloppy and not knotchy unlike the z3 1.9 shifter I had on my e30 sedan. I would think that the SSK would come with new bushings unless it's something outside the SSK that is causing the sloppiness. Any suggestions on what I can replace to fix that problem?
Any information would be greatly appreciated as always. Thanks guys
