I took my Manual trans 325i out of storage for the winter and after a few days it has started popping out of first gear and it is hard to shift into all the gears. Reverse is OK.
It seems to get stuck before it shifts into the gear and then you have to push it a little further to get it in gear. Sometimes in third I can't get it into gear, but if I go back to second and try again it works.
Could this be a clutch problem, or is the transmission going bad? I have not checked the fluid yet. I did not see any leaks where I stored it.
If I need to rebuild the transmission, do you know of any good links to show how to remove the transmission? I have a 90 325i for parts. Will that trans work in my 88 convertable?
