2nd gear whine after new clutch

We just finished a clutch service on our 86 325. New pilot, throw out, clutch, plate, resurfaced flywheel, ect. The works anyway my brother gets the car back together drives and its money! I get in drive down the road step on it a little and everything feals great! I turn around, shift through gears into 3rd start cruising then let off.. On compression i notice a whine..? Now i notice it driving in 2nd gear.. It developed this noise in that small period of a time..?

Take it home and i notice this:
-Now there is a low grown at idle in neutral? like a bad throw out
-2nd gear is somewhat stubborn now, almost like the synchro is on its way?
-The whining now is only noticeable in 2nd gear
-Shifter used to feel solid/legit in 2nd..now it kinda moves side to side

Sorry for the long post, its just super strange! We have done plenty of clutch/tranny jobs and this is a first. We're going to start by checking tranny fluid.. But im thinking it may be the synchro or throw out bearing.. i hope not! Any help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
