Hey everyone! As you can tell I am new to this fourm but not new to e30's. I was given the oppertunity to hang out with the UUC Motorwerks guys today to talk about their shifter kits for our e30's.
I know you all have seen them many times and some may say that they are way to much to purchase. In reality, that shifter is like a tool, and from experience, the more we pay for our tools the easier the job is right? These kits are by far the higest quality shifter kits I have ever seen and in my personal opinion and by those who have tried others by far surpass those kits of Rouge Engineering and B&M shifter levers. I'm sure most of you have seen the Bimmerworld budget short shifter kits for 100 bucks...Stay away from those kits and spend the extra 250 bucks to get a kit worth while!
The Bimmerworld kit is basically composed of a Z3 1.8 lever. However the kit I receieved did not have the bend in the lever causing my transmission to eat it self up. I put the UUC shifter in and what a difference! It is absolulty worth the extra 250 bucks to buy one! Although the UUC Kit in itself is excellent, pairing it with their Dual Selector Rod makes it even better! I will note that Rouge Engineering and AKG shift levers are used more for racing use, but the UUC kit can be used for both street and racing applications making it very universal in any situation. On top of that, UUC shift levers are an acutal kit that will replace the bushings and shims needed to make the actual shifter worth while as with others you have to buy the extra pieces in some cases.
Why trust a big corporate structured company that mass produces products without attention to quality and purchase a very high quality kit that will make driving our e30's that much better? Because you know you're getting a quality product that isn't mass produced. Trust me, call up UUC or go on their website: http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/
They have excellent products for our cars and their quality is much much better than that of any company. They even produce ALL of their products in house and that really helps the quality and in some products makes the price cheaper! I am not trying to knock any other company, I am merely making a suggestion to other e30 owners looking to change up thier driving expirence with a product that I believe is worth while.
Take a look at this quality difference in the attachements!
