I guess it would be too good to be true for BMW to have something just right in their parts bin like for the 240, easy enough to modify though.

Thanks Waganstyle, I guess I need to look into getting one, I have been running a Getrag 240 with my s52 for about 6 months and was not happy with my clutch options for that trans as the bellhousing clearance is a little tighter than the 260 and others but it was what I had at the time. I have a 6 speed in my e90 (330) and like the ratios, the shift quality is pretty good (the 240 feels a little crisper), and gears are real quiet. The bigger question for me is what shift linkage parts will I need.

So does this mean that the ZF GS6-37BZ/DZ from a e90 will fit with an s52 in the e30? Usually people mention the e46 trans which looks to be the same or similar in the 2005 330ci.
Been looking to do this but the earlier 6 speeds are so pricey.

that is actually the wrong part; its too wide to fit a E30 transmission tunnel

you need to use this one; its modern super light E90
