the stars seem to be aligning in the near future, and my wife's E30 vert may become our weekend/good weather cruiser. it's currently equipped with an auto, my wife can't drive a manual. well, she can, but gets really anxious about it. Anyhow, I'd like to keep the auto, it's not a track car, not a race car, not a drift car. I'm planning on a 525d crank, a little headwork, and Kam's turbo kit. has anyone explored the limits of what that trans is capable of? generally speaking, when the fluid gets hot, that's when the clutch plates start breaking down and failing. perhaps an upgraded radiator and a separate, upgraded trans cooler would help it handle a bit more power.
