    Best short shift kit?

What are your experiences with the aftermarket short shift kits for the E30?

The main ones available seem to be:

    $150 Ireland Engineering
    $250 B & M
    $350 UCC

For me price is not an object (at this differential) so that would mean the UCC one is best, but I am open to the cheaper ones being better or more appropriate.

Of course I will be getting the dual shear selector rod to go with it.

The listed throw reduction varies. The B&M says 20-25%, while the IE is 50% throw reduction. But maybe 50% is too much for daily driving? Who knows, that's why I'm asking for your thoughts and experiences.

The new garagistic adjustable chassis mount looks awesome. And you can use stock boot and shifter

Autosolutions kicks the shit out of UUC. IMO, they have the absolute best stock-style short shifters.

I run the e60 545 shifter. PN 25117546373 i believe is the correct one.

11/10, would do every single time

I went with the Z3-1.9. I have no qualms about it, but I do mostly do street/backroad driving so I can't say how it feels on a track/autocross. It definitely shortens up the throw, shifts feels nice, and was pretty easy to install.

For anyone running the chassis mount - what is the NVH like? I've thought about it, but am worried about annoying noise / vibration in the cabin.
