Not 100% sure this is the right place for this problem but here go.On the driverside rear wheel area I have a poping/thumping sound. It varies some but especially bad under some load.No load also.I drove around in empty parking lot this evening listening to it.Drove slowly behind a strip mall and the sound reflecting off the buildings(had the window down)sounded pretty bad.I was under the car today and have had the driver rear wheel off and saw nothing obvious wrong. It's my daily driver and Before I tear into the thing would like an idea.I'm thinking inner c/v joint or something wrong with brake caliper.possible wheel bearing but hoping something simple im overlooking. The noise just started in last 2 or 3 weeks since it got well below freezing here.
If I have to I can drive my other vehicle if this is something potentially life threateningly dangerous.I don't wanna wreck myself or my car.I am just not excited about tearing any car apart at this time since my garage is ocupied and I would be doing this out in driveway.
