    86 325e manual swap

Trying to determine if I have the correct flywheel. Here's the back story....

Parted out 86 325e a couple of years ago and kept the 5sp swap in the shed. Just purchased an auto 86 325e and am in the middle of the swap. Reinstalled everything enough to start the car and it now has a miss. I determined that the flywheel timing slug was not lined up with the timing marks on the front of the motor. I made sure the motor was TDC by checking the reference mark on the crank pulley and also removed the rotor cover to make sure the cam was also aligned correctly. They were good to go. So, I pulled the trans back out to realign the flywheel. I Found that the alignment "key" on the back of the crankshaft needed to be removed so the flywheel could be spun to align the flywheel with where to senor would be. After doing this, I reinstalled the trans enough to test start the motor and again, there is a misfire.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

It appears the timing mark on the flywheel is about an inch off the TDC mark. Am I supposed to move the timing mark?

I checked another M20 flywheel and it has the timing mark in the same exact spot?

    Thanks for any assistance.
