No butt dyno yet... remember, this car has not been drivablel since I started this project. It still has a ways to go before I can legitimately road test it. I can say that it turns over the tires rather easily, much more so than my E34 540i/6 does, but still, that's no indicator. Plus, I don't have anything but the 404 DME running it right now. I'm trying to stay focused on getting it road legal and pretty much finished before I do any real tuning on it, so it may be a while yet before the final answer is in...

Amazing Garey......I take it you are not at gutenfest right now. I'm not going, but I am just about one step ahead of you in the build process.

Nice job...Congratulations! Been lurking here and contemplating a build. The m60 V8 sound is purely intoxicating. Gotta sell the M3 soon....

Lol... I only put a gallon or so in it initially and ran it for over an hour or so, while
checking things over... of course, by the time I was ready to take it out of the shop and do a tire-spinning video, it was out of gas, haha...

It is a good feeling, for sure. I drove it in and out of the shop tonight and ran it out of gas, which was very funny. I'm working through some small gremlins, which I expected. Nothing alarming or difficult, but little things like the fan not working(fuse), small oil leak at the oil temp sending unit, blowing the coolant level sensor out of the back of the reservoir(forgot the snap-ring retaining clip), running out of gas... did I say that already, lol? One of the bigger things that I haven't looked into yet is no tach. Obviously a signal issue, but like I said, I have not looked into it, so I don't have any ideas yet. All in all though, I'm very pleased...

    Sounding good and steady! :)

Have you warmed it up already? (the lifters should get quiet after it has been hot couple of times).

Btw, this is a nice way for checking that the engine is happy and healthy ;)
