A lot of people get surprised when I let them know that I shift at 7k rpm, most people think that the ls1 redline is 5k rpm...haha. of course, if I had the stock cam I would be shifting at 6k rpm.

Ah. The big thing I was wondering was springs. I'll probably run beehives when I build mine.

    I have a 3.46 gear.

I also have racelogic traction control on my side as well.

In all honestly I don't have traction issues at all from 3rd-6th gear with 235 ss595's 3.46 gears. 430/485 and well over 600 ftlbs on the bottle. My e30 is a vert so it is a bit more heavy.

With higher gearing which Im assuming your gonna be running 3.73-4.10 and a lighter car I could see you having traction issues.

Would agree, except LS7. LS7 is a monster. 650whp NA with basic bolt ons? 350tq at 1500rpm stock. I'm sorry, I love the S62 but to say it's a better engine than an LS7 is asinine.

Fwiw, future LS1/T56 (LS1 block with LS6 heads) swap here once the shop is built.

Ohh, the motor is not coming out. I get the hate and I was just saying I don't know if I could have done this to a blank canvas, but looking forward to putting 100k miles on this pig.

I live in Wisconsin. Its been in the negatives lately so the work that has been getting done is on the M62 E30 so I can free up some garage space. The M3 is getting completely torn apart, bare bones running, and built back up the right way. I'll update this with pictures as it progresses.

I'm guilty of possession of an LS also, its not in my e30 though... but the thought has crossed my mind once or twice

Enough thread jacking about LS, no LS, blah blah. OP has an LS installed in the car.

Lets get some new pics of the beast OP!
