Stephen, bimmerteck and I did a refrigerant charge on my E30 some time last year. It has what I believe to be a professional R12 -> R134a conversion. I know he posted some pics and details though I don't recall exactly where offhand. All I remember was it was HOT, though where we live that could mean anywhere from May-September. Perhaps searching by his username will turn the posts up.

    AC Vent Temperature Feedback (r134a)

    Hi all,

Trying to gather a baseline for vent temperatures. Can anyone who has had a successful conversion describe their temp settings at: idle, rpm, temp, humidity, fan speed setting, conditions, recirculation on/off?

also, indicating whether your HVAC system is stock or custom (ie. using PF condensor) would be helpful too.

I'm also gathering some data and based on my first day of measurements it's as follows:

    my system specs:
-Aside from PF Condensor, everything stock original or used except
    -Denso 10p15e Compressor
    -R134a amount: 2.15lbs
    -PAG46 Oil: 5oz
Working...
