I thought these came out real nice.. I sprayed the outside - followed the directions on the website.. I compared them to a friend's Euro hellas and they are spot on..
I like that I can change the look of my front in 15 minutes. Its great to have another pair on hand..
Have not drove with them too much - still have a concern about legality here in Iowa - but we will see..
Interesting look..
Pics are from a cell phone - pretty close to real..

It's legal or it's not. If it's legal and they pull you over than the stop is not legal. Meaning that any tickets or arrests that arise from the stop is 'fruit of the poisonous tree' and not valid or legal.
Now, in Idaho the state law defines headlights ability to illuminate objects at a specific distance. It doesn't states color like the poster above's state. It would be wise for you to actually look up state code and read it, or post a link here for us (me) to read.

Attached is a photo of my old daily, with lamin-x on the headlights and fogs. It also had 3000k HIDs which actually changed the color temperature of the light(obviously) compared to just the film. I preferred driving with yellow headlights, I felt it was less stressful.

Painting the reflector could potentially reduce the light output. Replacing the lens for a yellow one would be the best option.
Highs = lens is yellow, reflector is silver
Fogs = reflector is yellow, lens is clear or in this picture cracked.

laminx is definitely more of a highlighter yellow and doesnt match the e30 french look.
i went with this because it is a deeper/darker yellow:
