Replaced my fog lights this week and ended up with drivers side non-working fog light and turn signal.
Removed drivers side fog and replaced with aftermarket fog. Plugged in and turned on to make sure it was working. It was. Finished install of drivers side.
Went ahead and installed the passenger side fog light. Turned them back on and now the passenger side lights up but the drivers doesnt? Switched fuses with the same result.
Not having time to deal with it, I went to reinstall the front bumper (removed for some painting). During the process the drivers front turn signal wiring fell out of the connector (who makes a connector with easily removable wiring anyways???). There are 6 possible ways to reinstall the wiring for the turn signal. 4 of them result in a working parking light, a quick flash non-working turn signal, and turn signal that doesnt work at all with the lights on (and results in the left turn signal on the cluster being lit solid). The other 2 result in a functioning turn signal but no output for parking lights. The passenger side still functions as normal.
I temporarily wired it up in a position that the parking lights work, and after driving yesterday the little diagnostic box lights turned on for the tail lights and license plate light. Upon inspection the tail lights worked.
Any ideas? It seems strange because all the function is there, just not at the same time. What is the correct wiring for the front turn signal on the drivers side?
