Sunroof Question!!

Wondering what these arms (one is circled) attach to and do exactly? Headliner was already off the current panel in my car so when putting in this new one wasn't sure where they attach and their purpose. Any help would be great.

Its a rain gutter that channels water to the roof sides which then flows down the drain tubes. The gutter moves with the sunroof so it may be in the rearward position. You can pull it forward with a bent rod or whatever so that it can be re-attached to the arms.
