Hi, a brief intro; my '91 318is is my 3rd e30, I've been at the last 9 or 10 e30 Picnics, it's a street car, daily driver. Recently the temp gauge started fluctuating from its normal in the middle position jumping to three quarters eventually returning to the middle. Not certain yet if it is a bad sensor, the 7mm ground nut on back of gauge or something else. Coolant level is up, no apparent leaks, water pump turned smoothly when belts were changed a couple months ago. Decided to check the 7mm nut first but the M TechI doesn't want to come off with nut removed & key in accessory position.The wheel moves about half an inch then feels like hits the lock & won't budge. What am I overlooking with the wheel? Looking for input on temp gauge too.
