Hi guys,
working on a ZF 4HP22 EH tranny from a '91 535i. In the group of wires that run from the transmission control module to connect into the side electronics port on the tranny, there are about 8 small wires and 1 fairly thick wire. My questions have to do with the smallest wire of the bunch: it is a clear colored, really thin, maybe 26 gauge wire that doesn't even look like there actually is a copper wire in there...seems like only threads of cotton.
What does this wire do? Mine got spliced - is it important to be fixed? If so, how do I fix it? Any help would be awesome. Thanks guys!
