Is it hard to manual swap an e34?

There’s a very clean e34 for sale in Atlanta, good price, but its an auto and it has almost 300k on the odometer. It’s a ‘91 535i

    Thanks
    My son has the 1987 325e, 2 door, 5speed
    I daily the 1989 325i, 4 door, 5speed

If an E30 swap wouldn't scare you, an E34 shouldn't either. FWIW, that trend stopped to a fair degree in E39s and later models.

I have manual swapped 3 e34's. 91 535i and two 95 525it's. 91 535i was the easiest and all of them were easy! 535i's for some reason got the clutch pedal return-spring mount on the auto pedal box, so all you have to do is swap the pedals via the long 17mm bolt that runs through the pedal box. You don't need to swap the actual pedal box itself (which requires steering column removal). Wiring is simple as all e34's started as manual harness cars similar to e30's, and there is more room to work. Lots of writeups online but feel free to PM me with questions if you do purchase.
