well from looking at online tyre size calculators seems that putting a 225-35-18 ends with a smaller diameter than a 215-40-18... so im guessing i should change front to that..
    am i correct?

    18" BBS LM advice fitment

Hi guys bought some 18" BBS LM's off a friend who had it on his E36 M3. As im going through an engine swap im unable to take the car for a drive to see if its rubbing anywhere etc...

    wheel specs are:
    18 x 8.5 ET30 (all 4)

    tyre specs are:
    215-40-18 fronts
    225-40-18 rear

tyres will need changing anyways so my questions are:

    1) can i widen the front to a 225-35 or keep at 215-40. i dont want any rubbing especially on inner guard plastics when turning

    2) whats the best tyre set up for this wheel spec ?

ive mounted the fronts without any spacers and rears have a 15mm spacer (225 tyre is sitting close to the guard, hasnt been rolled)

    thanks for any advice

    current 225-40 rear tyre

    old 235-45 tyre

Working...
