16x7.5 ET20. Fit perfectly over e36m3 setup without any spacers, nor hubcentric rings.

I had a set of 16" OZ/Fittipaldi type07 I believe...the sexy 3 piece 5 spoke ones. They BARELY cleared and I mean barely. But that would lead me to believe that most OZ based 3 piece 16's should work.
I have test fit 16" RS's and they do indeed clear with not much room to spare. In fact one of them has minor interference with something, it spins but you can hear almost like a brushing where the interference is. Only had a crappy jack so I didn't ram my head under to see but it was like brake dust rubbing on brake dust, that minor, and like I said one did it and one didn't, so probably 1 wheel had a tiny wobble or was dirtier than the other. It was the kind of thing that would work itself out over time. I'm gonna be running 16x8 RS's et20 with 205/45/16's on my e36 m3/318ti 5 lug once I get the time to refinish the wheels :)

what about 16 inch Alpina's, would they fit with the e36 M3 front brakes?

16's would be nice for a bit more tire.
currently my 17x8's with a 47mm offset fit perfect so something with that high of an offset is feasible.
also i had on at one point 17x8.5 with a 51mm offset and that also worked.

I have H and R sport springs. i never tried it with a 40 series sidewall.. maybe it would work
