The rear just need need new 5 lug spindles and calipers (e30m3)
The use of e39 brakes was discussed earlier in the thread. The e39 rotors are 10mm bigger at 296mm, vs the e36 286mm rotor. The e46 rotors are even larger at 300mm.
In theory it should work without modification to the bracket, but nobody clarified whether they tested it or not.

Pazza, I wanted to do the same thing so it looked a bit more factory to onlookers(like the Polizei). But I think I would do something a but more permanent like welding the adapter bracket to the orig. caliper brackets. I want adapter to strengthen the original bracket b/c of the grinding.

This is really interest`n! I have been do`n something similar too.
But I am use`n e36 calipers with the VW corrado rotors also on the stock e30 struts.

But I am not too happy with it.

You can see in this photo the grind`n out of material is not the same so make`n a bracket will not mirror the top and bottom of the caliper.

Is anything going to happen with this? it is a far more attractive 5 stud option then the e36 setup for me.

FYI: This was taken 150' from my storage unit. I did the front suspension right there, and took it home like that to pull the rear.

Once I get the rear suspension in I'll know where they sit in the back and can get some spacers.
reply to an old post but according to http://extradrei.com/5lug.html the Z3 hubs will push the rear 23.2mm out allowing for et41 stock wheels, so you would want to space out the front so its the same track yeah?
