On the street, you don't need a BBK, or to move over to a 5-lug setup. You don't even require a BBK for track days, just race pads and a fresh bleed.

Rebuild your stock calipers and get some good pads and rotors. Also with the different booster setups, a 25mm master cyl isnt a bad idea.

Brakes are the one area that is often overlooked and overbuilt instead of just rebuilt and maintained (which is often more than enough)

Brakes don't have to do with the power per say. More the weight of your car and the style of driving you are doing.

Dont need 5 lug, but i might go with a BBK just for the added stopping power. You could also go with a more aggressive pad on the stock brakes but your going to get noise/dust.

    Do i need a 5-lug

I am going to be doing a S52 or a S54 stap in my e30 not 100% on what one yet. Anyway I am wanting to know do you need a 5-lug swap for better breaking with this car if its mail purpose is daily driving? I dont think i would cause there is no real weight in crease. I would be putting on id like either 16s or 17s depending on what strikes my fancy and i have no problem getting a BBK for my car if needed but if i do not need a 5-lug then i can at least put it off till later.
Working...
