Guys, need some help here.
This is as it goes, down here we had the E36 compact, 323ti with ///M package. Nice car, big brakes, etc. Front subframe and suspension is basically the same as the 318ti that most of you here are familiar with.
I have the chance to buy on of this cars from a insurance write off. Im looking to get the engine and some interior bits, but if i can pull out a brakes/suspension/5x120 swap out of it, that would be great.
I know the rear is a direct swap basically. i have a shitty 320i rear end, so thats a win/win.
But i would like to know if its possible to swap the complete front end, not only the suspension/brakes bits, but the subframe too.
This should allow me to keep the e36 sump (down here, e34 m50s sump are extremely rare and expensive, plus shipping it from states is expensive too), plus e36 323ti///M brakes, plus suspension bits, and of course the 5x120 swap.
Also, if im running front and rear ends from e36 ti, that would make easier to get spare parts, since those cars here are way more common than E30s.
So i would like to know if someone knows if this swap is possible, i dont mind going in to some modifications to the car in order to make it possible. Also would the suspension geometry be ok?
