    thanks
    picked it up yesterday and a few other tools I needed
    (pitman arm puller...on sale... to make the subframe pushing tool and a air da sander for some up coming body work and repaint this summer)

    as this summers project...all new bushings rear end
    replace seal on front control arm ball joint ( only 3 year old lemfoeder with split boot, got new boot coming)
    fix body and repaint car after sliding in ice into a snow bank

    wow thanks for this link, I was just about to post how disappointed I am that my lemofder control arm ball joint boot is ripping, at only 4 years old, then found the above link,,great ,,now I can just replace the boot

    Yes! This thing is a life saver. Easy to use and effective.

    Also OP, I think you have the jackstand in the wrong place. It should be positioned under the frame rail.

    Use kroil if you can find it. PB and liquid wrench used to be my go-to until I found kroil. Hands down the best penetrating oil I've found, works where PB doesn't.

    Don't expect much from WD40--try P'blaster or Liquid Wrench next time

    I gave up with the BFH and picked up a pickle fork. I had my dad smack it for me hehe. Tie rod and control arm came off, but now the boots are ripped. Too poor to afford new parts so I'm sticking with those until they die.

    I use a harbor freight ball joint separator, which doesn't cost much and is a bit less crude than a pickle fork. And I agree with everybody else about replacing your boots/ball joints/arms while you're in there.

    +1 for the BFH, 4 or 5 pound minimum. I like putting a socket over the ball joint so you can't mar the threads.
