    Yes. You have shitty tires.

Put some decent tires on the car and the brakes won't overpower them so easily.

    Brakes too good?

Or are my tires just shitty. I installed hawk hps pads with new blank rotors a few months ago, and they've finally worn in. If I do a bunch of hard stops, say 60-0, and get the pads nice and grabby, I can lay on the pedal and make the front tires skid. Is this normal? My ABS light has been on, but the brakes feel perfectly normal even under fairly hard stops. I did a gigantic suspension/drivetrain swap a while ago and must have gotten dirt on the sensor or hit one too hard against something, because the light never used to be on. My tires are newish Sumitomo HTR-H4 205/60 14's if that makes a lick of difference.
