    Confirming Mtech Springs

    Good day people,

I just picked up some Mtech front and rear springs (used).

Seller claimed they are Mtech from an 88 325e and "no part numbers" are visible.

Today the package arrived and there are indeed part numbers, and some interesting paint markings, hope some of you can help me confirm them.

Front: Pink Dots, total free height around 320mm part number 130 049 2RBW true 6 coils front

Rear: I can barely read the numbers due to age and some rust, measures roughly 220mm with red/pink and white dots (looks similar to M3 paint markings) last number is a 4 around 5 1/2 coils total (5 main coils and the two smaller ones top and bottom).

I saw some brand new Mtech front springs once for AC equipped E30s that had the 049 part number and Pink dots.

If i were to go by measurements alone and using the Bentley Manual, they are pretty much bang on for Mtech springs (Bentley shows the 049 fronts to be +7mm higher than the 046).

Are they worth getting a fresh coat of paint and being installed in my 1990 325i?

    Thank you in advanced.
