Did I just f up an expensive part?

So I was digging through my parts pile and found my nice shiny new skf front wheel hubs with pressed in bearings. I was not paying attention and applied pressure to the outer hub which allowed the spindle to put the inner race out. Now I can't get the inner race back in. I whacked it with a mallet and a socket to distribute the force. No dice. Then I pushed on the hub, placed the inner race in the hub, put on the spindle nut, and hit it with an impact -- still won't seat.

Am I out some money?

Any tricks to replacing the inner race?

I bought the thing online a couple years ago, I don't think anyone's taking it back at this point.
