E36 Steering rack, worth it?

I love my e36 rack out of 1998 M3.... it has 3.2 turns lock to lock verses e30 4.0 lock to lock
Its worth it in my opinion, cool and easy mod.

same fitment, different ratios. I have used 95 m3 racks in 3 cars and love them.

Is there a difference with the 3.0 and 3.2 m3? did it require much modification to fit?

Hello all!

Since i cannot find a Z3 steering rack here in Australia, my only option is to go with a e36 rack. Is it worth doing and will there be a noticeable difference compared to the e30 rack? Also is there a certain e36 rack that fits and are they all the same?
